November 20th 2008 Marks the 7th Year for World Children's Day, a Cause that Affects the Lives of Millions around the Globe
About World Children's Day: One of the premiere and largest fundraisers that help Ronald McDonald House Charities provide thousands of dollars for the health and well being of children and their families is World Children's Day.
- Social responsibility has been a fundamental part of McDonald's business for more than 50 years.
- To date, World Children's Day at McDonald's has raised more than $124 million globally for children's causes around the world.
- 75% of all funds raised at local McDonald's restaurants stay your local community providing scholarships and community grants to North Texans.
- In 2007, more than $180,000 was raised in North Texas for World Children's Day.
- Since its inception in 1988 Greater North Texas has awarded more than $5 million in grants and scholarships within local communities for children and youth causes.
- The funds raised during World Children's Day allow Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater North Texas to support Ronald McDonald House Charities and its core programs including the Ronald McDonald House and the Ronald McDonald Family Room.
